When being proven innocent... is just no longer quite... good enough.

When being proven innocent... is just no longer quite... good enough.
After Meredith Kercher was brutally murdered, society apparently wasn't done brutalizing women through this horrific incident. Enter its life-long target: wrongfully imprisoned, twice exonerated, Amanda Knox.

So, this latest ruling is horseshit. Amanda Knox was exonerated for a reason. To gain your own understanding of it, if you haven't already, start going through the entire unfolding saga. It's all available to research. All of it. What she got grinded into twice through the Italian judicial system w/their media jumping at the opportunity to indulge in a salaciously fashioned narrative to sell if-it-bleeds-it-leads "evil-deviant-woman" "news"... is nothing short of horrific. And all laid on a 20-year-old college student studying abroad, shell-shocked by coming home to find her friend, Meredith Kercher... *brutally* murdered.

Cut to: Friend of the, now devastatingly, late Meredith, in a deep state of psychologically paralyzed shock, at times even to the point of dissociative shock, subsequently being put through an escalatingly sleep-deprived, hours-upon-hours interrogation in a foreign country… without any stability through legal counsel that could’ve effectively oriented her as to what was even happening… all while stretching her not-perfect-grasp of the Italian language, further sinking into herself… having to defend against the accusation of... *killing her own friend*... eventually with her being *thrown into an Italian prison*... for… *years*... *despite* that it would conclusively show w/*overwhelming* evidence… twice… that Meredith Kercher, Amanda's friend & roommate, was brutally murdered by Rudy Guede. And in no conceivable way… by Amanda Knox. It was *incontrovertible*.

Amanda was, thusly, exonerated. Twice. For a reason. For so so so many reasons. After... *years*... in an Italian prison.

This latest ruling is what happens when forgetting that laws in society are made to protect & serve innocent people within it. Not to repeatedly, sadistically, hunt innocent people down and try to beat their will & spirit into submission.

Was that not clear?

I urge you to look into this case & see what we are capable of as a society of human beings. From the brutal murder of 1 young woman, Meredith Kercher, to completely botching the investigation of her murder, leading to the wrongful out-of-her-native-country imprisonment *for years* of friend, Amanda Knox… it is... an infuriating treatment of horrors in our world that women in our society can be, and in this case, were from start to finish, put through.

I wish Amanda Knox & her husband the best through this resurgent misery they've already done so well to rise above.

And my God, I wish Meredith Kercher's family all of the healing & support this world of people can possibly provide, despite their having had to, on top of the soul shattering devastation of it all, additionally go through such a grievous mishandling of their Meredith's case, alongside the devastating impact that will, I can only imagine, never be removed from the very fiber of their being for the rest of their lives.

And deep gratitude for those within the system who did at least manage to bring Meredith Kercher’s murderer to justice & further, and finally did twice exonerate Amanda Knox from wrongful imprisonment over a crime she did not commit, though did become traumatized by. Repeatedly.

Meredith's family, devastated, have remained relatively private, though revealed the additionally tragic loss of both of Meredith's parents in 2020, each within months of one another.

Amanda has managed to piece her life back together after having it obliterated by a national force so out of her control that she had to keep finding some reason to resist a recurrent instinct for ending her own life. She's even managed to build something new from the pieces of the seemingly unsalvageable wreckage her life had once so overwhelmingly become. And may she continue, with the support of her friends, family, and rock of a husband, Christopher Robinson, work through and once again rise above this latest reopening of painful devastation.

The murderer, Rudy Guede, was released in 2020 after serving 13 years of a 30-year term that was later reduced to 16 years. He's most recently been issued a restraining order for beating his 23-year-old ex-girlfriend.

If this mere example, out of so many others in our modern times, let alone our human history, doesn't instill within someone an appropriately visceral rage about the capabilities inherent to our human society for how it is all-too-often inclined to treat our women…

I don't know what-the-hell will.

Addendum June 6th, 2024: After writing this article on June 5th, 2024 in reaction to the same day's news release that Amanda Knox had been convicted for slander for folding under pressure in deer-in-the-headlights terror, and subsequent dissociative shock all those years ago at 20 years old in an Italian police station, coerced into making statements by officers interrogating her for hours in a language for which she had only a remedial grasp, without having been provided access to any interpretive services... it's now, as I write this update, the next day on which Amanda Knox has officially released the transcript of the statement she gave yesterday in the Florence Court of appeals before her verdict was given to her. Here is her statement.
